Looking south from the cliffs of the Strangles, you can see successive headlands all the way down the coast, most of which seem to have a small rocky island sitting slightly offshore and out among the waves.
At the base of the Strangles cliffs you can see a formation called the Northern Door, the height of its ‘doorway’ is probably around 20 metres/65 ft.
From this you can start to work out how the islands further south began. At some stage that bridge of land, seemingly just about hanging on to the rock with a fragile looking arm as it is being overwhelmed by the ever-battering seas, is going to collapse into the waves and another small island will join the others.
Fantastic pictures, as akways. You are very talented!

Thank you for saying so. It may be the case that I can find a picture and know how to make the best of it for my style but at the same time there are many more things I wish I was better at… such is life for all of us I think,

That is true. You have a skill with photography, but no matter what skills we are blessed with, it is human nature to look at others and wish for them! 😊😊😊
